POPULAR DOWNTOWN PITTSFIELD GALLERY SHOWS TEN ARTISTS IN INAUGURAL WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL
Gallery 25, Union Street neighbor to project spearheading organization Barrington Stage, will be a proud participant in Pittsfield’s first ever “10×10 On North” winter arts festival. In keeping with the “10×10” contemporary theme, the quaint and storied gallery will host an exciting show of 10 new works of art by 10 of its most celebrated artists. The show, entitled “10x10x25”, will run for the duration of the festival, which takes place February 16 through 26. Gallery hours are 12-5 each day. An opening reception with the artists will take place on Friday, February 17, 5-7PM, 25 Union Street, Pittsfield.
With a broad range of approaches and styles, the focus here will be on painters, though elements of mixed media will certainly be present. The artists that will be showing work include Marguerite Bride, Joan Palano Ciolfi, Ellen Joffe-Halpern, Jackie Kearns, Art On No founder Annie Laurie, Gallery 25 director Leo Mazzeo, Sean McCusker, Lisa Merullo, Scott Taylor, and Rosemary Wessel. A fitting venue for an arresting lot, Gallery 25 is. From the shingled roof located within its interior to its boarded up window walls, the space is an ideal match for a contemporary visual arts show.
